THE ASSOCIATION FOR GENERAL CULTURE AND FREE INFORMATION
"O M N I B U S"
AREA OF EXERCISE
Article 1st
Association
for the general culture and free information "OMNIBUS" (hereinafter
referred to as the Association) is a non-governmental and non-profit
association, founded indefinitely in order to achieve the objectives in the
field of general culture, communication, art, information, education, youth,
minorities and the flow of knowledge, ecology, various production, civic
activism and peace promotion.
THE GOALS OF THE ASSOCIATION
Article 2nd
The
objectives of the Association are:
1.
Establishment, development and
strengthening of cultural ties, tolerance, peace and cooperation between
different cultures and civilizations;
2.
Improvement of production of all forms of
communication in the field of free exchange of information in the area of
science, culture, art, media, internet, etc.;
3.
Promotion of freedom and social responsibility
and status of non-profit media;
4.
Objective, disinterested, non-profit, impartial
and independent flow of information, criticism and questioning of the
institutional representatives of the government, the opposition and all other
participants in public life, solely in the public interest, and in accordance
with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia and the codes of international
and national journalists' associations and the journalistic profession;
5.
Development and practice of journalism,
journalistic skills and information, particularly among young people with the
aim to improve their active participation in public life, and the launch of the
youth radio station of the civil sector;
6.
Organizing concerts, exhibitions,
workshops, panel discussions, presentations, trips and symposiums, public
discussion and general space and time workshops with the aim of exchanging
experiences in order to promote local and international life and culture;
7.
Promotion and networking of individuals
and organizations, home and abroad, who share the same or similar objectives of
the Association;
8.
The improvement of environmental
protection and education of citizens, especially children and young people
about the importance of preservation and protection of the environment, along with
the organization of activities for the rehabilitation of affected areas, as
well as advocacy for changing habits regarding the use and preservation of
natural resources, in terms of treatment of waste materials;
9.
Increasing the participation of citizens
in decision-making processes and transparency at all levels of public
administration, and support to non-governmental and governmental
anti-corruption activities;
10.
The promotion of progressive and
contemporary ideas and practices in accordance with the Charter of Human Rights
of the United Nations, the promotion and protection of these rights, freedom
and ethic equality and equality in terms of: gender, sexual orientation,
nationality, age, marginalized and vulnerable groups, ethnic or other affiliation
or lifestyle choices;

Sustainable development of the policy of
peacefulness and peace on Earth and beyond;
12.
Formal and organized education and
participation of young people and citizens in the creation and placement of
content from the domain of basic goals and reasons for the existence of the
Association.
Article 3rd
To
achieve its objectives, the Association, in particular:
1. Collects
and processes scientific and technical literature in the field of contemporary
art and culture, media and journalism, civic activism and human rights,
environmental protection and sustainable development;
2. Organizes
and produces radio-broadcasting program and other forms of journalistic forms,
resources, and information programs, with special emphasis on the promotion,
support and development of Radio civil sector in the country and abroad;
3. IN TERMS
OF RADIO BROADCASTING the Association:
a)
Promotes the right to communicate, assists
the free flow of information and opinion, encourages creative expression and contributes
to the democratic process and the development of a pluralistic society;
b)
Provides access to training, production
and distribution of resources, encourage local creative talents into the local
traditions and provides programs for the benefit, entertainment, education and
general cultural development of its listeners;
c)
Advocates for the appointment of
representatives of local and geographically recognizable communities or
communities of common interest;
d)
It is editorially independent of
government, commercial and religious institutions and political parties in
determining its program policy;
e)
Provides a right of access to minorities
into the and marginalized groups into the promotes and protects cultural and
linguistic diversity;
f)
Seeks to inform its listeners honestly on
the basis of information coming from different sources in order to ensure the
right of reply to any person or organization if they are exposed to serious
misinterpretation of attitudes;
g)
Is established as an organization that
does not start with the aim to profit, and ensures their independence by being
financed from various sources;
h)
Recognizes and respects the contribution
of volunteers, recognizes the right of paid workers to join unions and provide
satisfactory working conditions for both;
i)
Promotes and works on the exercise of
management, programming and employment practices who oppose discrimination and
who are open and into the accountable to all supporters, staff and volunteers;
j)
Encourages the exchange between community
radio stations using communications and media in order to develop greater
understanding in support of peace, tolerance, democracy and general social development.
4.
Pursuing anti-discrimination campaigns
through various actions against discrimination on grounds of gender, sexual
orientation, ethnicity and religion, and other grounds with a high incidence of
discrimination, and in this regard organizes and implements affirmative support
campaigns that are consistent with the goals and the spirit of the Association
as well as rallies, otherwise;
5.
Works especially on supporting young
people to achieve all their rights;
6.
Organizes, independently or in partnership
with other organizations and associations, professional meetings, workshops,
festivals, conferences, seminars and other forms of education in the field of
general culture, media and journalism and the environmental protection;
7.
Works on networking and achieving
participation in the activities of all organizations in the country and abroad,
which promote the same or similar objectives of the Association;
8.
Conducts impartially and not for profit
soundings and public opinion surveys with the goal of identifying current
needs, trends and other important social processes;
9.
Publishes books and other publications,
including other forms of media (film, video, music) in the area of general
culture, media, journalism and issues relating to the protection of human
rights and the environment, in accordance with the law;
10.
Works to preserve material and immaterial
cultural and historical heritage, identity and traditions of local communities;
11.
Organizes teachers and the other
professionals and organizations for the education of children and youth in the
areas of general culture, the arts, media and journalism, for the
implementation of activities for the protection and decoration of nature;
12.
Organizes voluntary actions and
environmental festivals to raise awareness about the importance of ecology, and
in this sense it publicly influences the creation of environmental policies
aimed at cleaning and environmental protection, proper disposal of brown,
recycling and sustainable sources of energy, forestation into the greening of
vulnerable settlements and their environment;
13.
Cooperates with universities, schools,
associations, media and other organizations at home and abroad that are
oriented towards the promotion of human rights, the arts (literature, music,
performance, theatre, etc.), journalism, free flow of information, civic
activism, cultural heritage of local communities, environmental protection and
other activities within the ambit of the objectives of the Association.
